Story
Welcome to our charity fundraising page for the Great Ormond
Street Hospital Children's charity, this year the bar is set extremely high, in fact 5,895 metres high!!!
Our team of 5 crazy adventurers are setting out on an epic adventure to raise money for this great cause by climbing Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and the highest volcano outside of South America. This is by no means any easy feat and will take determination, endurance and of course your generous donations to drive us on and up to reach the summit.
Please, please help us reach our target of £3000, we are
completely self-funding so every pound penny and Euro will go directly to support some of the hospital’s most urgent needs: research, support for family and patients, cardiac surgery and palliative care.
Prior to becoming part of the NHS in 1948, the hospital was
known as a voluntary hospital, running fundraising campaigns for new buildings from the 1850s. In today’s world the demand and need for care are very different but just as critical to the work they do for sick children with a staggering volume of over 255,000 patient visits every year!
If you would like more information on how Great Ormond Street
Hospital are helping sick children please visit their website to see how they are helping and to see what they are about: http://www.gosh.org/corporate-giving/difference-you-will-make.
Donating is very quick, easy and secure so please give anything you can to help this great cause, the more you give the more determined we will be to achieve this epic challenge to climb 5,895 metres to the summit of Kilimanjaro.
