Why GOSH?

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is a family-focused charity which supports patients and parents through difficult times, whilst battling the most complex illnesses. Our company is built on a family culture, so this was a great fit.

There's more to the story though... Read about Ross - a son
and a brother of two of our colleagues Paul and Jamie:

Our boy Ross and GOSH

The journey for any new born and their parents is always challenging and you may never know what the future may hold for them. In 1993, our second son, Ross was born and from the moment he started to walk, his mother noticed something was not quite right. After a number of confusions and mis-information a Professor at GOSH correctly diagnosed Ross with Proteus Syndrome: http://www.proteus-syndrome.org.uk

This is a genetic disorder, which manifests itself in a number of ways and for Ross, meant that he had to face many consultants along the way with enduring surgical procedures, ranging from his leg and knee
through to his hands. We reckon that Ross spent 15 years visiting GOSH and he now has moved on to adult care at the RNOH, Stanmore. The care by the consultants and nursing staff was tremendous and we cannot wish Shepherd Compello enough success in their aim to raise funds for the GOSH Surgical Bed.

Here at Shepherd Compello we are keen to make a tangible and
identifiable difference so we explored how we could do this with our friends at GOSH Charity, who said they really needed a surgical operating table costing £29,735.

We have set this as our annual target and we're hoping that Lewis's extraordinary effort will bring us one step closer to our goal.
