This year I have decided to challenge myself and take part in MDA's trek, a 70km journey across Israel and Jordan.

If you haven't heard of MDA, it's the Israeli ambulance service. MDA helps everyone - its ambulances and trained staff support those most in need when disaster strikes, all across the world.

Earlier this year, when Russia invaded Ukraine, MDA acted fast and supplied ambulance services and medical equipment to the Ukrainian people. The charity also assisted in bringing 70 children from an orphanage in Ukraine to safety in the UK.

As joint chair of Southend and Westcliff MDA committee, alongside my good friend Simon Belson, I have witnessed the incredible work MDA do, having spent time on an ambulance shift myself. With your help I'm hoping to raise money to further the work of MDA and provide the much needed funds for new ambulances and equipment to help those all around the world.
