We are raising money for Magen David Adom, Israel's national medical emergency, disaster , ambulance and blood service. Magen David Adom is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation which depends on donors from across the world. Since 2006 Magen David Adom has been officially recognised by the International Committee of the Red Cross as the national aid society of Israel, Magen David Adom continues to save thousands of lives by responding to over 800,000 calls every year - that's more than one call a minute .

Magen David Adom's life saving activities go much further than the Middle East and include :

- Sharing expertise internationally on dealing with mass casualty situations

- Co-operation with the Palestinian and Jordanian Red Crescent

- Participation in international disaster events

- First aid training

- Collection and supply of 300,000 units of blood each year

- Maintenance of international rare blood bank
