This year due to Covid restrictions I intend to stride 60 miles throughout September - as well as covering the Ride & Stride Day on 12th September, sadly it is unlikely to be the same as  previous years where the Churches were open & you could get refreshments/ a nice chat along the route, but best foot forward & stride I will. 

 On a personal note, I am also walking in memory of  my/our friend & organist Gerry Sweetman, as I walk, I will try to remember the many lovely hymns he played for us, even during his latter years when his health was fragile. Missed and appreciated. 

Even though the Churches have been unable to be open during the peak of covid, they have stood as a testament to time, plague, war & weather, the latter taking its toll on the fabric of the building yearly. 

 The door to the Church may have been locked during lockdown, but the door to God's love is forever open to those who wish to enter.
