London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
***UPDATE***
Due to a bike accident during lockdown, I suffered a fractured pelvis and collarbone, so have been in no fit state to train. Thankfully I’m now doing fine, so I will be attempting the walk the virtual 2020 London Marathon event. I will be running the London Marathon within the next 3 years, but sadly not this year. Leukaemia Care, like all charities, need your cash now more than ever, so please sponsor me if you can. Thank you.

In 2020 I will be running the London Marathon in memory of my sister, Rachael, who died in October 1980 aged 3 years.
The year 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of Rachael's death and also the 40th London Marathon event.
I will be raising funds for Leukaemia Care who provided practical help and support for my family through a very difficult time.
I was only 5 at the time, so I don't recall all the support they provided, but do recall vividly a trip to Marwell Zoo which Rachael would have enjoyed immensly, being the animal lover that she was. My mum told me much later that the trip had been funded by Leukaemia Care because my parents were struggling financially, so the charity provided some financial support to give her some lovely experiences before she died.
IMPORTANT: I would be very grateful if your donation is NOT anonymous as the company I work for and who will £ for £ match will not match any Anonymous donations :(
