Raising money for Leukaemia Care

Leukaemia Care provides vital support, information and advice to anyone whose life has been affected by a blood cancer. We not only support patients, but carers and families too whose lives are impacted when someone they know and loves receives a diagnosis.

Story

Lisa was originally due to run the 2020 VLM in April in memory of her sister Rachael and raising funds for Leukameia Care, as they were a help and support to her family 40 years ago during Rachael‘s illness.

However, as everybody is aware the Maratbon was postponed to October and eventually the live event was switched to a virtual event.

At the beginning of lockdown, Lisa suffered fractursd to her pelvis and collarbone and has spent the last 5 months recovering.

Kevin has supported Lisa throughout this recovery period and when Lisa decided she still wanted to give the 26.2 miles a go and they have decided to walk it together.

The 26.2 mile route will end at Salisbury Cemetary at Rachael’s grave. Kevin and Lisa are being supported along the route by various friends for different legs of the journey

Both Kevin and Lisa are raising funds for Leukaemia Care.
