Story
My friend Libby from school fell ill over the Christmas period of 2018 and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 2nd January 2019. She immediately began an intense phase of chemotherapy treatment and a lengthy stay on Ward 84 of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Libby's treatment lasted for over two and a half years, where she received incredible support from the team on Ward 84. Whilst Libbys treatment has ended, she will continue to be supported by the RMCH for the next five years. She continues to recover from the side effects the grueling treatment took on her body.
To support the fantastic work they do in caring for children with cancer, I will be riding across the country going from Ravenglass to South Shields. The money raised will go to the vital care and support of children like Libby who are diagnosed with cancer and facing their biggest battle.
