Story

We know 2020 has been a difficult time for everyone but charities in particular have been hit hard. The Staffordshire Police Cadet scheme is a service for young people across Staffordshire which strengthens links between the police and young people, develops leadership skills, improves confidence and provides a sense of civic pride. The Cadet scheme is funded entirely by charitable donations and a big part of being a Cadet is volunteering their time to assist at community events. These events often result in generous donations which help to keep the scheme going. Sadly, due to the Coronavirus pandemic all local events have been cancelled meaning no income into the Cadet charity. Due to this, we could lose up to 90% of our fundraising income. We normally raise over £20k a year for the Staffordshire Police Cadets. This year we have only been able to raise £1k. We understand times are hard for everyone but we need the support of the local communities now more than ever before.
