September Sleepout · 28 September 2018 ·

The aim of the event is to raise money for vital services provided by our main project, Care & Share, to people in addiction or recovery from alcohol & drug issues and people affected by homelessness.

Story

I'm going to be sleeping rough for 1 night in September to raise funds for the great work that RCT's Care & Share do to support people in homelessness, addiction and recovery in Ayr.

It sometimes takes going through dark times to really appreciate life. I'm only sleeping rough for 1 night but I know that the next night I will return to my own comfy, cosy bed in my own home. There are many people who live day to day without the security and comforts that I often take for granted. I am privileged to work within a community of people (members, volunteers, staff) who seek to ‘act justly, love mercy and walk humbly’. Together we create a sociable, safe and inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to ask for help when needed and to offer support to each other.

I hope you can offer some support (financial, practical, spiritual or emotional!) to help us help people in homelessness, addiction and recovery in Ayr #thankful
