Story
LOLAS HOMELESS was started by Lorraine Anne and Laura Rosso after a chance meeting with a young homeless woman, Chloe, in Stratford in November 2015. They were horrified to hear that she had nothing except a thin blanket. They immediately bought her something to eat and warm gloves and hat. But they couldn't forget her. They began going out a few nights a week with hot food and clothing donated by friends and family for Chloe and others like her. Lolas Homeless was born. And it grew. Soon bigger handouts and events were planned as a team of volunteers and helpers joined them in their efforts to make life better for people on the streets with food, clothing, shoes, toiletries. They drew up an information sheet to help homeless find what help was available to them. They offered friendship and support. Lolas is totally self funded and needs to raise money to continue the work that Chloe inspired. Sadly Chloe passed away in February 2016, but her legacy lives on and continues to grow. Please support our team of walkers so we can continue the work.
