Story
Molly was born in 2001 at 25 weeks and was in and out of hospital for the first 6 months of her life. Leaving hospital though, was only the beginning and she continued to need support for many years. Molly has now completed a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and we could not be more proud.
The rate of babies born premature or sick in the UK is rising with 1 in every 7 babies needing neonatal care.
Bliss continues to fight to improve outcomes and quality of life for babies like Molly and her little brother Henry, also born prematurely. More needs to be done to raise awareness of the long term impact of extreme preterm births and support families through extended maternity, paternity and neonatal leave as well as the supporting families with the increasing costs of having a sick baby in hospital. Bliss continues to campaign on their behalf. I am running for Molly and for all of the babies born sick or premature :)
