In a bid to improve my fitness & support the Alumni team in raising funds for our Alumni-Funded Scholarships, I decided to start my running journey a mere five weeks ago (April 2023). In order to make this mean more myself and a group of YSJ alumni, staff and students are now taking on the York 10k 2023. 

These scholarships support underrepresented individuals who need help to access the education they deserve. These include students with low household incomes, mature students, students who  are carers or have been in care, students who are parents, and those whose circumstances have drastically changed. Due to the high demand of support needed we are currently only able to support 22% of applicants and this is why we need your help! 

If you are able to help whether it be a small contribution or large, it will  go towards supporting the students of the future who just need the opportunity they have worked so hard to achieve.
