At work, at British Antarctic Survey we have been set a midsummer challenge of achieving 100km on foot in a week or less. So, I have decided to make this into 2 walks of approx 50km, circular routes from home..........As Albatrosses and Shearwaters feature in my working life, especially their interaction with fishing boats in southern oceans, my partner decided it would be more fun if I added a fundraising aspect to my nonsense, for birdlife to use on their vital work in making the oceans and nesting islands safer paces for these seabirds
