Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It's my birthday this month and I'd like to mark the occasion by asking my family and friends to help me raise money for the Lexi Mace Brighter Future Fund, which was set up by my wonderful neighbours, Sophie and Andrew Mace. Please spare a few minutes to read on.....
Little Lexi was born healthy on 15th December 2017 and went home the next day with her loving parents Sophie and Andrew. But that night Lexi became seriously ill and despite the best efforts of some of the greatest doctors in the world at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Lexi sadly died of sepsis on Sunday 17th December. She lived for just 39 hours and 32 minutes. Sophie and Andrew's loss touched me deeply, then and still now. No parent should ever have to endure the pain of losing a baby, least of all at such a tender age, so I have committed to be a BFF for the Lexi Mace Brighter Future Fund with the aim of raising a minimum of £100 in 1 year. If you would like to help me, any donations would be so gratefully received.
All funds go towards enhancing Great Ormond Street Hospital’s ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Donations help to fund advanced medical equipment, child and family support services, pioneering research and rebuilding and refurbishment.
I will raise a glass to you on my birthday on 22nd October by way of thanks and gratitude.
With love, Lucy x
