My name is Lucy and I have found my dream job working with the horses at The Racehorse Sanctuary.  I love them all, but my favourite is Wavertree Warrior.  Sometimes it is very sad, like when boss Graham had to make the difficult decision in agreeing with the vet that nothing more could be done for former champion Oriental Express, who had a growth - it was not fair to operate on the old boy - RIP, but lots of tears.  

To help raise funds for the charity my boyfriend and I are taking on the Inflatables 5k Challenge at Farnborough.  Please help us to raise lots of money for all the Sanctuary horses by sponsoring us.  Don't be put off by the £30 box you are offered.  Please change the sum to whatever you feel you can afford: lots of £3 all add up!

We are linking our fundraising to the Sanctuary's Winter appeal:  Global warming or not, drought has resulted in poor harvests. Animal feed is already at a premium. Hay is scarce and poor quality. We are imposing on your generosity again, but without your support, we will struggle to feed the horses properly this Winter, so they remain fit and healthy, able to resist the cold and the wet.
