Dougie Mac runners for London Marathon 2023

Story

In 2021 my wife, Megan, unfortunately passed away to cancer and Dougie Mac were a great support for my wife, myself and our three boys aged 13, 9 and 7.

Their support through this difficult time was simply amazing and they provided end of life care to Megan which allowed her to spend the last few weeks of her life with her boys at home.

They also put us in touch with the Windmill Charity which offers acute bereavement support for children and young people in Staffordshire and helped us with the difficult conversations we had to have with the boys.

Megan and I completed 2 half marathons and 1 full marathon together so because of this I have decided to run the London Marathon in memory of Megan as I know she would have enjoyed watching me stumble my way around the 26.2 mile course and also to give my support back to this great charity.

I will be forever indebted to Dougie Mac for everything they did for us.
