Story
62 miles. One month. One important cause. 💙🧡
Two months ago my 15-year old son Andy was suddenly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. With no history of it on either side of the family it came as a real shock. For those that know Andy, you know how strong and determined he is, and he has not let his diagnosis hold him back. He’s been an inspiration to me during a challenging few months.
So this October I’m taking on 62 miles to raise money for Diabetes UK and to help support the 6 million people living with and affected by diabetes. With two dodgy knees I’ll be taking this challenge on an elliptical cross training machine. I haven’t been very active since suffering several serious injuries in my last ice hockey game in January 2020, so this won’t be easy!
I’d really appreciate your support. Whether it’s £5, £10 or £100, every donation adds up and can help make a real difference.
If you’re able to donate, thank you, your support means a lot to me and will help keep me going every mile of the way. 🧡
Thank you for being part of my journey! 💙
