On the 4th March I will be finally plucking up the courage to leap from a plane in mid flight for no other reason than to raise some money for a wonderful charity. My courageous and amazing daughter, Lyla, is also doing her bit and chopping off at least 8" of her beautiful hair to donate to the Little Princess Trust. They provide real hair wigs for children suffering with hair loss.

Recently our close friends, Mike and Abby, have had first-hand experience of the amazing team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Their daughter, Bessie, was diagnosed with a genetic condition called NF1 and she spent 18 months in and out of the hospital undergoing chemotherapy for a brain stem tumor. The staff there did an incredible job in treating Bessie and providing support for her friends and family. Despite still needing check-ups at GOSH, Bessie is now doing really well.

Bessie Bear has been making star appearances at various fund raising events to raise awareness of NF1 and the tour continues... not sure she quite bargained for the jump... She'll have to watch out for those scissors too!

For over 165 years GOSH has provided world class care for children and young people. It also pioneers new treatments and cures for childhood illnesses.
