Story
In February 2024 my daughter, Lyla, was diagnosed with Medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency, better known as MCADD.
MCADD is a rare genetic disorder that, whilst manageable, can have severe consequences without early intervention and planning.
As you can imagine, a diagnosis like MCADD can be pretty overwhelming, but Lyla's specialist team at Great Ormond Street Hospital ("GOSH") have been nothing short of amazing. The level of care and attention Lyla has received, alongside the support that me and her mum have been given, has been, quite literally, life saving.
It's impossible for me to give back anything to the extent that we've been given by the team at GOSH, but I'll be doing what I can. That's why I'm taking part in the 2026 TCS London Marathon for TeamGOSH, and by sponsoring me, you’re helping to fund the services and teams that support my little girl, and families like mine.
