Story

In a moment of madness I made a promise to myself that I would walk the 268 miles of the Pennine Way as part of a “big birthday” celebration. I wanted to do it with friends joining me for different parts of the route. So on 1st May we embark on this 21 day journey from Edale (Derbyshire) to Kirk Yetholm (Scottish borders) with nine fabulous people along the way.

We are raising money for the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation. This is a foundation that  raises money to place defibrillators into as many sports and recreation facilities as possible. These life saving devices are not mandatory in these locations, however they should be!.

This is a family run charity. Justin Edinburgh was an ex Spurs footballer who died in 2019 because he did not get  life saving treatment quickly enough after a cardiac arrest.

As many of you know this is a bit too close to my heart for comfort…pardon the pun!

The Walkers and Talkers ......Janet Marks, Jane Thornhill, Liz Delaney, Faith Faulder, Debbie Ambrose, Sam Blayney, Tina Eade, Vicky Lawrence ...and of course Iain are ready to get going.

Any donation you could make would help motivate us every step of the way...literally!

Thank you

Lynn
