Story
My nan suddenly passed away on 30th December 2021 from sepsis she went to hospital via ambulance on the morning and several hours later had passed away. In her honour I want to challenge myself as well as raise awareness of sepsis by taking part in a tandem skydive 🪂 i will be doing this on June 11th once I have turned 16 in May and allowed to jump
it’s so much more common than many realise and if caught early can be treated but unfortunately it is a fast paced illness often if antibiotics aren’t given within a couple of hours you move to severe sepsis then to septic shock and your organs begin to shut down
My nan had sepsis 3 years ago too she spent time in intensive care and several months in hospital but this time sepsis took her away so quickly
Please please donate what you can and share my link every penny raised could raise awareness and if one person is saved from this killer
I want to make my nan proud please get behind me and help me reach my target and beyond
Fundraising is at the heart of our fight against sepsis. It raises awareness, and sparks the question: “What is sepsis? In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths & unnecessary suffering through knowledge & awareness of the symptoms. It also funds our vital support work, Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing our Support Group network. We also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS.
