Story
Back in early February, after having a (mostly) very healthy January to sort my health & my head out, I decided to sign up for a Half Marathon on a bit of a whim; having never run more than about 4 miles before in my life.
Given that me running constantly for way more than 1 hour is a pretty unlikely event - I'm sure most people would agree - I thought I could aim to put my efforts to good use, and support a worthy charity in the process.
With that in MIND (get it?) I want to actively fundraise for an extremely important Charity. In 2018, with Mental Health issues on the rise across the UK - and given that one of the reasons I chose to do this in the first place was to improve my own - I thought it would be fitting.
I've never had to utilise the services of Mind (touch wood), but it's a real breath of fresh air that these organisations exist; you might not realise how much you'll need them until you're really suffering... and given that around 1/4 people in the UK are affected by mental health problems in one way or another each year, your own need for their services could be more likely than you realise.
I've never set up a Justgiving before, so no idea how it works - but even a quid or two here and there would be mega.
Next up: The 2020 Olympics I reckon (or Photoshop school)
