Hi everyone,

I'm running my first marathon in honor of my grandmother, who recently passed away after a three-year battle with ALS.  She was my biggest supporter in all aspects of life.  She loved to watch me skate and traveled the country in order to support me.  She also made the five hour drive from Ohio to visit me every six weeks.  I know she would love to see me run this marathon.  

Right now, although progress has been made, there is no cure for ALS.  The disease is 100 percent fatal.  Any money raised helps in the search for a cure.  Thank you so much for your support.
