Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The physical challenge I am about to embark on is the biggest of my life but nothing compared to that faced by the millions of women who have to square up to Cancer.  We have all lost people dear to us because of this terrible disease and it is a sad fact that research and care has to be funded by charitable donations but there it is. Those of you who know me well know that this is a big deal - cycling 100km in London, through the night and all of the training it entails but I'm ready for the challenge ... Bring it on!

Any amount of money no matter how small you can offer in support of this worthy cause is very much appreciated (and any donations towards my recovery massage can be made to me personally!)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Women v Cancer is a series of Women only cycle challenges in aid of three British charities – Breast Cancer Care, (RCN:1017658), Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust (RCN:113354/SCO41236) and Ovarian Cancer Action (RCN:1109743) – raising vital funds to fight breast, cervical and ovarian cancers. The donations you make to Women v Cancer will be distributed equally between them. The cycle challenges are organised and managed by Dream Challenges – www.dream-challenges.com. Women v Cancer is established under GivingWorks, a charitable trust registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales and under number 1078770. The funds raised here are restricted to use for the Women v Cancer purpose and will not be used by GivingWorks for any other purpose or as part of GivingWorks’ general unrestricted funds.
