Story

Hello all,

This July, myself and many other people who knew the wonderful Graham Ellis will be taking part in "The Ellis Expedition".

"The Ellis Expedition" virtual challenge was created by Graham, before he sadly passed away, for his club Southport RFC & friends to take on.

Graham was president of Southport RFC and his wish was to raise money for the NHS as a thank you for the care he received - I am taking part in his honour.

The virtual treck 'from Southport to the South Pole' includes walking, running, cycling, swimming etc. The original 16,000km target was smashed within a couple of days so the target has been reset to a virtual circumnavigate of the globe!

I have personally set myself a half marathon run at the end of July... giving myself 3.5 weeks to train for this, pray for me!

Graham was genuinely adored by all. There won't be one person he met that didn't instantly adore his charm. He was a close family friend, practically family and a dear friend of my father's.

I have many fab memories with him watching the mighty Saints at Knowsley Road and with him, Anne, Jack, Megan and Hugh at family and friend's parties. Graham will be deeply missed.

Wish us luck and please donate whatever you can!

Time to dust off the cobwebs...

Thank you so much.
