Imagine being told that your child has a cancer.... imagine being told that your child has a cancer during pandemic... being told that your child is very ill is bad enough in a normal world... so imagine how bad it must be in this scary, uncertain time.
Cancer doesn’t stop because of pandemic... kids are still being diagnosed with it every day.
Olivia was diagnosed in October 2017 and I still remember how devastating that news was. We were shocked, heartbroken and our world was turned upside down. We went through 2 years of various treatments and it was such a distressing and frightening time for our family. I can not even imagine what is it like to go through it all now... during pandemic... without any direct help from your families and friends. But unfortunately thousands of people have to go through it and face the cancer today.
That’s why on the 11th of July I am taking part in runthrough Run for CHECT and ask you all to donate and help us raise as much money as we can. This year I am joined by my wonderful sister in law, Michelle and her lovely husband Massimo.
We are training very hard to do our best.
Please donate as much as you can for CHECT especially in this uncertain time.
The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is a charity which has supported our family since the day Olivia was diagnosed. It’s a small charity that sadly doesn’t receive any money from the government and rely on public support to fund their vital work. We are so thankful to them and would love to give something back. Please help us and donate as much as you can. Many thanks.
