Story

SiMBA, responds to the needs of those affected by the loss of a baby. We do this by donating our precious Memory Boxes to maternity and neonatal units so they can be gifted to parents at the time of the loss of their baby. The Memory Boxes are used to capture the most precious memories, time together, for information our website

We lost our beautiful son Malachy on 25th November 2009 in our arms at 17:15.  My Grandparents lost 4 babies.  My friends, sadly I don't have enough hands to count the miscarriages and stillborn. Malachy is in his playground with Charlie, Jacques, Cody and many others.  They may not be with us but they are in spirit and their lives will make a difference to support others.

Running is something I have found to support my own mental health and it just feels right to take on this crazy task.  Are you crazy enough to join me on some or all! (Covid19 friendly of course)

The staff at Raigmore were amazing, the day case team, the photography department, the midwifes, the doctors, they were all incredibly supportive.  The accommodation at Raigmore Hospital was a lifeline to us as I recovered from an emergency section and allowed Malachy to be with us, and friends and family to surround us.  The accommodation is in urgent need of upgrading to provide families with the best surrounding and support they deserve, at any stage of pregnancy. Lets be part of that £85, 000!
