SiMBA is 15 years old this year, that's 15 years that we have been offering our vital support services to those affected by baby loss and we' want to be here to support bereaved families for many more years to come.
You can support this campaign by making a donation to this page or by taking a free place to sign up and join #TeamSiMBA as part of the Virtual EMF.
You don't need to live in Edinburgh to take part in the EMF, it's a virtual event so you can take part wherever you are in the UK or Ireland.
If we had walked 1km for every day that SiMBA has been here to support bereaved families we would have covered 5,479km. So now we want to challenge you to join the virtual EMF challenge and help us to cover this distance together as part of the SiMBA family.
Your chosen distance can be completed in one go, or over a number of days - and you can choose how you complete it, you can walk / run or even skip! Every km that you cover will be added to our campaign target and we not only do we have free SiMBA places but every entrant will receive :
* a SiMBA running vest / snood or t-shirt (subject to availability)
* a finishers pack (containing a finisher medal and keyring charm, a 2020 finisher t-shirt and a personalised finisher certificate)
and you will be added to the Edinburgh marathon Festival Virtual Challenge finisher's listing on the Edinburgh Marathon website!
You can challenge yourself to complete any of the distances below :
Marathon (26miles or 41.8K)
/ Half Marathon (13 miles or 20.9K)
/ Team Relay
/ 10K
/ 5K
/ Junior 5K
/ Junior 2K
/ Junior 1.5K
/ Kids Kilometre
The coronavirus pandemic has had a devastating effect on life as we know it. Demand for our Memory Boxes, across the UK and Ireland, has increased by 50% throughout lockdown as we reach out to more hospitals and more bereaved families, however, our fundraising and donation levels have dramatically dropped.
We need you to join us and help us to walk/run/fundraise together as part of #TeamSiMBA. We want to be here for the next 15 years and to do that we need your help and support.
We haven't been able to tie all the fundraising pages to this campaign so we would like to say a huge thank you to the following fundraisers who have raised, or are continuing to raise funds for this campaign: Colin Bowen, Ewen Mackinnon, Jason Martin, Gemma Wylie, Hayley Mann, Sarah Mcneill and Mairi MacInnes.
