The training rides are gathering momentum!!! Just wish this rain would disappear!!!

We're going to be cycling from Colwyn Bay to Cardiff later this year to help raise funds for the National Portage Association.  Portage is a home-visiting educational service for pre-school children with additional special needs and their families.

Portage are currently providing some very special care to a little boy that Malcolm knows Ellis Carter-Donald, he was born 23rd July 2011 and his mum and dad are very close friends of Malcolm.  Portage spend time with Ellis to help his development, providing him with experiences and sensory toys from which he can learn.  Ellis is a very special little boy, who brings a lot of smiles & love to the people he meets.

To help Portage & Ellis we've decided to ride from North to South Wales, to raise money for the charity.  The ride will take just over 2.5 days to complete covering over 200 miles of the "Welsh Mountains", and will take us from Colywn Bay - Machynlleth - Brecon - Cardiff.  We won't have any additional support on the ride, so we will be carrying all our own kit (planning to pack plenty of puncture repair kits..) 

Any money you can donate will be greatly appreciated, and we'll let you know how we get on once the ride is completed at the end of July....in the meantime better get back to the training........
