Story
In February this year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and on the 17th April i will be having surgery to remove my prostate. Prostate Cancer affects 80% of men over the age of 60 and also many in their younger years. Recovery is something that distresses me so much, in-continence being my biggest worry and learning to hold again.
Sofika and I will be undertaking the 5K March for Men to raise funds for Prostate research to help men being diagnosed early for treatment and those already navigating through the disease. We would like to participate in raising money to help this cause and help men in the future manage their needs.
2nd June I’ll be taking on a lifesaving walk towards a better future for men. Your donation can make a huge difference to the 1 in 8 men who will get prostate cancer. It could help fund lifesaving research and provide vital support services to men and their families navigating this disease. Know your risk: Prostate cancer is one of the most survivable cancers there is, if you catch it at an early stage. If you’re over 50, if you’re Black, or if your dad or brother had it, you’re at higher risk. Check your risk in 30 seconds: https://prostatecanceruk.org/risk-checker.
