Mary and I are climbing Snowdon to raise funds for

Snowdon for the Ukraine! · 28 May 2017
The Vision of Hope Project to the Ukraine is a bi-annual mission trip to the Ukraine (the first trip took place in 1994) and is organised by the Winton, Bournemouth corps of the Salvation Army. As we both have family at Winton, we have known about and supported this project for several years. After the team's return from the Ukraine last year and upon hearing of the amazing work which was carried out (totally renovating the existing kitchen and replacing the rusty and broken outside play equipment at an orphanage, a kid's club in Lviv and providing a daily health care and foot clinic at a Roma Gypsy settlement in the Carpathian mountain area), we both felt challenged to offer to attend the next mission trip which is to take place in the summer of 2018. All volunteers are asked to raise £700 each and this money finances the trip and all the work that is carried out whilst there.
Mary and I have been busy raising money since last September for this very worthwhile project. We have held a Christmas Open House, hosted a 3 course dinner for 55 people and sell crumbles and jars of marmalade most weeks. We wanted to do a sponsored event which would challenge us and our walk up Snowdon on the 28th May is certainly going to do that! As part of our preparation for Snowdon we climbed Pen-Y-Fan on the 1st May which in itself was a challenge!
We would love it if you felt able to sponsor us for this very worthwhile cause. Your donation would be a great encouragement to us both.
Thank you.
