Kids Beating Cancer's "6 Feet Apart But Together for a Cure" campaign is raising critically needed research funds to support promising new treatment and a possible cure for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a difficult type of cancer to survive.

Story

In 1992, Kids Beating Cancer my 9-year-old son, John, lost his four-year battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) after two bone marrow transplants failed to cure this deadly disease. Determined to turn tragedy into a legacy that would help other children beat AML and other similar life-threatening cancers, Kids Beating Cancer was born. It is my life's dream to see that no other cild would ever die from AML again! Since John's death, very little progress has been made in the treatment of AML. Now 28 years later a CURE FOR AML IS POSSIBLE! 100% of the money raised for the Kids Beating Cancer 6 Feet Apart Together for a Cure campaign will support promising research for AML. The research being done by Dr. Juan Varela, uses modified T-cells to hunt down and kill leukemia cells saving the life of an AML patient. This is now entering the final phase, clinical trials. Your contribution will support the clinical trials and push this exciting, lifesaving treatment across the finish line! Please help me with any size donation so children will stop dying! Thank you!
