Story
Water is essential for life and health. It can plausibley be argued that access to clean water is a basic human right.
Yet a lack of water to meet daily needs is a reality today for one in three people around the world. Furthermore, a child dies every 20 seconds in the world due to the lack of clean water.
Globally, the problem is getting worse as cities and populations grow, and the needs for water increase in agriculture, industry and households.
Ultimately, water scarcity underscores the need for better water management and we can each take actions to help contribute towards building sustainable water solutions.
This is precisely why I’ve decided to raise money to help support Al Muntada Trust’s ‘A Drop of Life campaign’ – dedicated to building water stations across the famine struck horn of Africa.
Suggested Afternoon tea places are priced at £50 (or whatever you wish to donate). Alternatively, in the event that you are unable to attend Afternoon tea – please do contribute whatever you wish to.
