Fundraising for UCKG HelpCentre
Story
Why am I doing this?
A HelpCentre that has been making such a big difference in the lives of so many people in Peckham and even in the neighborhood itself it is being threatened to be closed just because of.... MONEY!
As you may know Peckham is in the London borough of Southwark, which rates second highest borough in gun crime and violence. It is home to no less than 20 gangs. Because I cannot accept to see the Peckham HelpCentre close down. And yet, if the Centre doesn’t buy the building that they are presently using, that’s what will happen. So, on the 28th of November we are climbing the Ben Nevis and asking people to sponsor us. Our goal is to raise £1.6million so the centre can buy the building and ensure the work of the HelpCentre in Peckham continues.
My personal goal for this challenge is to raise at least £3,000. And, for you to see how serious I'm about this matter, my birthday it will be on the 6th of December and this year I'm asking all my friends and family to sponsor me instead of buying me a gift.
