We raise funds for The National Hospital to improve the lives of neurology patients

Story

Esteemed family, friends and colleagues, as some of you may know, Bill and I will be running the Marathon du Medoc this September.

This feat of superhuman endurance will only be made bearable by the copious amounts of wine we will be offered en route and the knowledge that in running we can also raise money for charity…

We’ve chosen to support The National Brain Appeal (and not just because my sister Marcelle is a fundraiser for the charity) – they fund incredible projects at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

We’re aiming to raise at least £500 (or lots more if possible) for our efforts and would be grateful for any amount you felt able to sponsor us.

Please donate whatever you can afford. Thank you.

About the charity

There are 14.7million people – that’s more than one in six – in the UK living with a neurological condition. Here at the country's leading neurological centre, we’re passionate about supporting the hospital to help improve the lives of patients through treatment and research.
