Story

Hello! Third time lucky running 26.2 miles - getting Covid a week before the race and then an injury meant that even after loads of training I am yet to make it to the start line. BUT I've got a good feeling about it this time....

I am running the Brighton marathon on April 2nd 2023 to help raise funds for Alopecia UK, a small national charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through aims of Support, Awareness and Research.

Fundraising for Alopecia UK is particularly close to my heart as they have been fantastic in supporting one of the most brilliant, coolest, kindest kids I know with her own Alopecia.

On a personal note, I never believed I would find running would give me the pleasure it does. It provides me with the head space I need in my life and to be honest I never thought I would be able to run for more than 5 minutes let alone 5 hours… ok who am I kidding?!?!  5+ hours 😆

But running this marathon is for anyone living with Alopecia - because they deserve to live their lives with confidence.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
