Story
Not being able to wish my brother a happy 68th birthday this year will seem so strange, for over the years, I am 18 months younger, we have always made contact on our respective birthdays wherever we have been. So the 19th May will always remain a very special date in my life.
Freddie and I were the two younger siblings of four. We were rather like twins in that whatever one wanted to do, the other did as well. We grew up as toddlers in Finland and were totally inseparable.
All memories flood back to those very happy times.
Luckily for me Freddie is buried on the Isle of Wight so I can visit his grave whenever I want to - this I usually do after Church on Sundays.
Walking the Wight on Sunday 13th May is so close to what would have been Freddie's 67th birthday on 19th May. While walking the 26 miles I will have plenty of time to reflect on our lives and feel that he is there encouraging me to 'Walk On'!
