Story

Raising money for OHCT, half of which will go towards our lovely little parish church, St. Helen's Church, Dry Sandford. We are continually raising funds for the upkeep of our Victorian-era Church....even plans for construction of a bathroom.

This is our team's second annual Ride and Stride in aid of the Oxfordshire Historic Churches Trust and St. Helen's.

This year, on Sat., 9th September 2017, we will be fundraising by visiting local churches. Last year we biked over 20 miles in the drenching rain to visit 13 local churches and chapels. It was a great challenge - but well worth it.

All the generously donated money goes to OHCT who then send 50% to St. Helen's. OHCT use their share to award grants to churches across the county towards the cost of fabric repairs and re-orderings.

About the charity

The OHCT gives grants to Oxfordshire churches of all Christian denominations for major fabric repairs (walls, roofs, floors and windows). Bells, organs, clocks, new toilets and kitchens may also get grants. The annual Ride and Stride is currently the biggest source of income for the OHCT.
