In a turn of events that has surprised even me, I am going to be running the London marathon. I ran it once before in my late 20s, but now I've hit my early/mid 40s it feels like a much different proposition. 

I got the opportunity to take on this challenge quite last minute in marathon terms. Where you'd normally have 16-20 weeks to train, I'm going to be doing it 10 and not only that my training will begin in the middle of a heatwave. 

I'm hoping to raise £2600 for Young Women's Trust which is the equivalent of £100 per mile, it's an ambitious target and so I'm grateful for you being here and helping me reach it.
