Story
I've chosen to fundraise for the Stroke Association by doing the 100K South Coast Ultra Challenge this September as a thank you for all at the charity.
In early 00's, my mum suffered a stroke which left her with permanent pins and needles down one side of her body, leaving it difficult to do day to day activities. Although she is no longer with us, she thought a lot of the charity in terms of the their assistance during her recovery and I'm sure she would be pleased that money is being raised for a cause close to her heart.
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
