Story

Hello My name is Mark Steven Larden i am 25 from Dronfield Derbyshire father to my beloved twin boys Kieran & Joel Redfern-Larden who where born 3 months prematurely tragically  Kieran & Joel passed away just over 3 weeks apart In September 2007.

Joel was  sadly born Stillborn on the 3rd of September, i was awoken by the nurses in the room that i was staying in at the Jessops Hospital in Sheffield on the 28th of Septemberi was told that  Kieran had been struck down with a blood clot in his brain i had no option but to  agree to emergency surgery to try and remove the  blood clot to save his life sadly Kieran didn't pull through the operation.

The passing of Kieran and Joel has had a huge effect on my life there is not a day that goes by that i don't think about them both and wish that i could hold them in my arms again i miss them both more than words can ever describe they both mean the world to me and will always be in my heart and mind.

I never thought that anything like this would ever happen to me i was 21 when Kieran and Joel tragically passed away it hit me like a ton of bricks, losing a child/children is the worst thing any person can go through in life the pain and hurt its unbearable.

I carried Kieran & Joels coffins too and from the church and too their Graves it was the hardest thing i have ever had to do in my life, no one deserves to go through that my heart goes out to every parent who has suffered the loss of a child/children.

The Money I  raise goes Towards helping The special Care baby unit at Jessops Sheffield where the Baby’s receive first class care I can't praise the unit and it's staff highly enough the Nurses that looked after Kieran throughout the time that he was in the unit  back in September 2007 were Brilliant they did everything for my little lad Kieran and they were so caring and Compassionate and it made my time on the unit more bearable it meant a lot too me that they helped me through such a difficult time with there wonderful help and support it helped me Personally through the Darkest hours of my life.

The Doctors and Nurses at the Special care baby unit were Fantastic as well they was always there when i needed them or when i needed to ask questions or if  i needed someone to talk too I can't praise the Doctors and Nurses highly enough that looked after Kieran they were great, i will always be grateful for the care and Attention that they gave to Kieran they did everything they could to look after him  and tried there best to save his life.

I am walking up Mt Snowdon with friends on Saturday the 19th May in memory of Kieran and Joel to help  The Special care baby unit at Jessops hospital which is a place that is close to my heart i am  raising money in memory of my boys and as a thank you to the staff at Jessops SCBU who are a credit to their profession.

All the support and donations that i receive means alot to me and my family.

Thank you for taking time to read this page

Kind Regards
