On 24th June 22 Mark (Ivy’s Dad), with a group of friends, is attempting to Cycle UP ^Mount Snowdon^ for Team Ivy and The Lily Foundation…. to raise awareness of Mito Disease and raise money for research into a cure for future generations!

Ivy was born at the same time as Lily (the inspiration behind The Lily Foundation) in 2006 and both these special girls were born with Mitochondrial Disease. Sadly Lily lost her fight at just eight months old. Ivy bravely soldiers on, but she still is not able to sit up on her own or walk, talk or swallow food safely! Our family live one day at a time and do all we can to make Ivy’s life as full as possible.

Every day in the UK a child is born with Mitochondrial disease, a cruel, incurable and life limiting condition. It is probably the most common, disease you have previously never heard of, and 15 years ago there was no information or any network supporting family's like Ivy’s and Lilys. The Lily Foundation was born to change this and to strive to one day find a cure through funding research, raising awareness and supporting families.
