We provide palliative and end of life care to those living with life-limiting illness

Story

I will be doing Weston beach race on 18th to 20th October in aid of Dorothy House Hospice.

As many of you know Sophie passed away in April this year due to a short battle with breast cancer. Sophie spent her remaining few days at Dorothy house in Winsley. The care she received was remarkable and nothing was ever to much trouble. It wasn’t until we were actually in Dorothy House that I realised what they did for people especially end of life care.

It was a calm environment where our children could come see their mummy. Even the dog was welcome.

Sophie was the most caring person who would never want a fuss even when in need.

I would like to raise as much as I can for Dorothy House as every little helps.

The Weston beach race is a 3 hour endurance race, around 2,000 motorbike riders attempt to tackle a 6km track built on Weston's beachfront.

The event is set to bring in more than 100,000 people to the seaside town while amateur and professional motorbike riders compete on one of the toughest off-road tracks in the United Kingdom.

This is a team advent which includes -

Riders - Mark Russell  David Jones, Glyn Newton, Jim Pearce, Gareth  Andrews, Jason Knight

Pit crew - Jim wheeler, Rich Woodham  (thanks boys)
