Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I really appreciate it!
On March 15th , VSO will be sending me to volunteer in Tanzania for 3 months as part of the International Citizen Service (ICS).
VSO ICS is designed to bring about lasting change for poor communities and as a volunteer I will get the opportunity to contribute to this change. I will be working with more UK volunteers and our Tanzanian counterparts. The theme of my placement is 'Livelihoods' and I will be placed in Kamachumu where I will have the opportunity to help communities in terms of food security, hygiene and also health and prevention of diseases and to tackle some of the problems facing local communities
VSO ICS is a once in a lifetimevolunteering opportunity backed by the UK Government. The programme has been supported by DFID (Department for International Development) who run the International Citizen Service .
While my accommodation and fees will be covered by the ICS, I, and other volunteers are asked to fundraise at least £800 to help sustain the ICS programme itself. So, EVERY pound that will be raised will go directly to the programme to help other eager young volunteers such as myself make a difference in fighting global poverty and injustice, whereas providing local volunteers with transferable skills for future employment.
So amid my fundraising, a donation no matter how small or large would be greatly accepted and will be making a real difference.

Thank you very much for helping me! xx
