1000 mile challenge · 1 January 2020

Raising £950.00 to enable us to purchase kune kune piglets and a new pig ark. Pigs have huge therapeutic benefits. Having just lost our eleven-year-old Berkshire pig, we are looking forward to rediscovering the joy that pigs bring to our trainees.

Story

I thinks it's safe to say the 2020 has been a very tough year for all of us. At the start of March I threw myself into my running more than ever and decided to set myself a target of running a 1000 miles in a year. I've always suffered with injuries and niggles but I'm now up to nearly 650 miles so the light is at the end of the tunnel. I originally wanted to do this for charity but thought with injuries it might not be realistic but touch wood I'm still in one piece. People who know me well know I support adults with learning disabilities and the last couple of year's I've had the pleasure of attending a farm with one of the adults I support. The people at the farm do an incredible job and any donation big or small will go a long way.
