Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Approximately 1 in every 500 people suffers from Parkinson's disease. My amazing Dad is just one of those people, and so I have experience of the way it can impact on the lives of those who suffer from it, as well as their families and friends. That's why I am going to run the London marathon to raise money for Parkinson's UK.

Parkinson's UK funds groundbreaking research to find a cure for this debilitating disease, as well as offering support, advice and friendship to those who are most in need. Your support will help them to achieve these aims. More details on how your money could help are on their website - http://www.parkinsons.org.uk/content/where-your-money-goes.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
