We ensure early, accurate diagnoses of CdLS to understand CdLS and help those with it

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m very proud to be chosen to raise money for The CdLS Foundation by running in the 2018 London Marathon (my very first Marathon).

“Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS) is a very rare genetic disorder present from birth, but not always diagnosed at birth. It causes a range of physical, cognitive, and medical challenges and affects both sexes equally. The syndrome is named after Dutch pediatrician Cornelia Catharina de Lange, who described it.“

My partner has been editing the CdLS magazine ‘Reaching Out’ for many years, so I have seen the difference the charity makes, and relies on, with donations and fundraising.

I’m honoured to support its hard work with a crazy idea to run my first marathon on April 22, 2018. I’m going to try and get a time I can be proud of, under four hours, so I hope to see one or two of you along the way to spur me on.

Thanks for donating,

Martin :)
