Once again I'll be walking around the London "Capital Ring" on Whitsun Bank Holiday at the end of May.  I'll be starting at South Kenton Station near Northwick Park, on the Saturday morning and walking across Fryent Way Country Park, up Barn Hill towards the Welsh Harp Resevoir, on towards Highgate, The Lea Valley, and Greenwich, before making my way past Eltham Palace and Crystal Palace, through Richmond Great Park on towards Brentford Lock, beside the Grand Union Canal, and up Horsenden Hill, in Greenford, before climbing Harrow-on-the-Hill, past Harrow School at the top, then back down the hill passing St. Marks Hospital at Northwick Park, finally arriving back at South Kenton Station two days later.

There is an unofficial record of 48 hrs and 35 minutes for the fast time over the route, with your generous help I intend to complete within that time, infact I am aiming to shave 30 minutes off!  This year I hope to raise £5000 for the St. Marks Intestinal Failure Unit. Which is dedicated to improving lives of patients suffering with bowel cancer and other bowel diseases,  and the St Mark’s Hospital Foundation (a registered charity) raises funds for research and education into bowel cancer and other bowel disorders. With the right research it is believed that whole categories of bowel illnesses could be eliminated in the future currently, St Mark’s Hospital is leading the way in fighting Bowel Cancer.
