Hi All,
First and foremost, thank you for visiting for my charity page, you may have heard through the grape-vine or this may come across a surprise but i am taking on the 55 miles (86km) non-stop run (Race to the King) 2018 in aid of Cancer Research.
Ever since my first fundraiser in 2016, I have pledged to fund-raise for Cancer Research or Prostate Cancer Charity whenever, i am participating in a significant racing event. Here we are, one of the biggest races of my running journey to date.
If you're not familiar with my running journey, i had the pleasure of racing this event in 2017 alongside my friends Matthew Foulds and Tu-Chi Luong. I have to admit running a double marathon in 24 hours was a challenge considering I've only ran my first marathon two month prior. The event was heavily documented and you can view the whole footage on the link below; trust me it was struggle especially running with one leg.
I will be taking on this event again, in hope for raising proceeds for a cause that is close to mine and my family heart. If you read my previous fundraiser, it was very emotional as I was running in aid of my mother whom was affected by the cancer during the time I was fundraising and racing the Paris Marathon. I am pleased to say that one year on since then she is making very good progress in recovery, and i am hoping this will provide inspiration and hope that the "C" can be beaten.
I will be going into this race Solo mission with my friend Matthew Foulds assisting with documenting everything from the build-up, the race and finish. I am looking to set the personal best, last year I've done it in 16 hours 47 minutes, I have a ran a 45-mile ultra-marathon in February 18 and achieved a 10 hr 40, therefore, I’m hoping and confidence to be completing the race of the kings in 12 hours.
The reason why I am fundraising for Cancer Research, as amongst other similar supporting charities, they provide inspiration and hope for those that's been affected by the "C" whether its physically or mentally. I believe their research is approaching the pinnacle of revolutionary technologies and treatments and fundraising towards this research means we’re one step away from finding a cure.
I would like to express my sincere thanks for reading my page, for the continue support during my running journey and I hope this provides inspiration to your close ones that's been affected by the "C", please keep posted on my journey via just giving or my Instagram page: Merveilleux__coureur.
Thank you, much love and good vibes 😊
